American International University-Bangladesh
American International University-Bangladesh regularly known as AIUB is an authorized and eminent private university situated at Kuratoli Road, Kuril in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The university is independently associated with possessing Board of Trustees. It offers a few degree programs at the graduate and undergrad level from four resources, especially in the field of engineering and business faculties.
History
The university was set up in 1994 as AMA International University Bangladesh. In 2001 the university was renamed American International University Bangladesh.
Admission Test
Every admission candidate needs to finish and pass the admission test directed by the university. The admission examination tests every student’s capability to effectively seek after the undergrad or graduate certificate programs. Undergrad admissions of the university is of exclusive requirement and is very much acknowledged in both home and abroad for advanced higher examinations. In admission test, the teachers emphatically judge the candidate by his insight into math and English dialect. Since the official dialect of AIUB is English. No IELTS score is satisfactory without the admission test, but TOEFL is acceptable. There are two sections of confirmation in admission test exam which are written test and viva. Students need to pass in both exams separately. The least CGPA prerequisite for graduation in any undergrad and graduate program at AIUB is 2.50

Semesters and Workload
The academic year of the university consolidates three semesters (Spring, Summer and Fall). The time span of every semester is about 14 weeks.
Spring Semester: One regular semester which starts in January and ends in April.
Summer Semester: Few students take it as a optional semester. It starts from May and ends in August.
Fall Semester: This is also a regular semester which starts in September and ends in December
Scholarship
- Must have a cgpa above 3.75
- Must have a load of minimum 15-16 credit
- No UW, I, F grade are allowed
- No grades below B+
