Mercantile Bank eyes to the top position.

Managing director of Mercantile Bank Limited Mr Kazi Masihur Rahman say that, Mercantile Bank Limited aimed to be the number one bank in terms of profit making,services and skilled management in the country’s banking sector. He made the comments at a press conference on the occasion of the bank’s 19th founding anniversary that falls on June 2 on its office premises in Dhaka.

Masihur also say that, the continuous effort of the employees had contributed to the banks position in 4 in the ranking.The bank now had a plan to reach the top.He again say that, the bank had another plan to open a subsidiary company for MYCash operation and it also aimed to include a foreign strategic investor like Bkash.

Mercantile Bank risk management committee chairman M Amanullah say that,the company had been operated by the high skilled manpower.That enabled the bank to maintain its profitability since its inception.

Mercantile Bank vice-chairman ASM Feroz Alam say that, the bank was going to open a hospital in Uttara of Dhaka to serve the people.He also say that, that the share prices of most of the bank dropped due mainly to the vulnerable situation in the financial sector for huge non-performing loans.

Feroz again say that, the people got the message, especially following scams in two banks (Farmers and Basic Bank), that all of the banks were fraudulent.

Bank’s vice-chairman ASM Feroz Alam, risk management committee chairman M Amanullah, directors Akram Hossain (Humayun), Mohd Selim and Mosharref Hossain, additional managing directors Md Quamrul Islam Chowdhury and Mati Ul Hasan, deputy managing directors Gaus-Ul-Wara Md Mortaza, Md Zakir Hossain and Adil Raihan were also present among others.
