Situated in Manhattan, the most densely populated borough of New York State, affectionately known as “The Empire State,” Manhattan Island is mostly bounded by the Hudson, East, and Harlem rivers. Manhattan is one of the world’s major commercial, financial, and cultural centres, but its high demand and limited space drive up prices, creating a competitive market for housing and commercial property. This is further exacerbated by its role as a global financial capital, offering high-paying jobs, significant international investment, high taxes, and strict regulations that limit housing supply. Finding a room near Manhattan is challenging, so I decided to settle for the Bronx.
