In Bangladesh, All the Public, Privet, Government universities are ruled under UGC (University Grants Commission). In the year 1992, according to the presidential order, UGC was established and reformed in 2010 in a view of ensuring higher education to all the students throughout the country. UGC provides funds for the university, scholarships for outstanding students, organizes seminars, and announced some roles for universities. All the universities must have been following that role.

Bangladesh has 42 public universities, 80 private, 3 Special, and 2 internationals. All the public universities take admission tests for Honors Program. After passing HSC (higher secondary certificate) exam student should start university exam preparation. Through admission tests, the university authority tries to justify the ability of the student.
