Nawab Chatga: Four years and beyond
It seems like yesterday when I first walked into Nawab Chatga to delight my Chittagonian palate in Dhaka. And for someone who was born and raised in Chattogram, it did not fail to do that. Can’t believe it has been four years since then! Time flies. And now, owing to its success, the restaurant has recently expanded, and is also offering enticing offers surrounding its fourth anniversary, on 20 December, 2019.
The restaurant has recently introduced a breakfast menu. “A huge percentage of our guests are office-goers who come here for lunch. They always used to say that we should offer breakfast as well,” Mohammed Shahidul Islam, Managing Partner, Nawab Chatga, explains. “The busyness of the morning and the hectic commute to office makes it difficult for many to make and eat breakfast at home.”
And hence, Nawab Chatga’s Gulshan branch is now open for breakfast as well, from 8AM to about 11:30AM. With paratha or tandoor roti, their mezbani gosht or nolar jhol is one lavish meal. Your choices are more varied, of course, from omelette to bhaji. And the distinctive Chittagonian-style chicken soup, which is a hot favourite in the port city, is something you too must try out!
Other than office-goers, Shahidul informs that the breakfast is also a hit among families — particularly during weekends — who either visit the restaurant, or order takeaways.The Gulshan branch has also recently expanded to the upper floor, becoming a two-storeyed restaurant.
Nawab Chatga has in its menu, typical Bangladeshi household lunch items as well. So, if you are not in the mood for a lavish treat, and seeking comfort in a homely meal at a reasonable budget, visit Nawab Chatga!
By the way, the restaurant also offers takeaway boxes on a regular basis, specifically designed for their clients (i.e. corporate houses).Meanwhile, in celebration of its fourth anniversary, Nawab Chatga is currently running a number of promotional offers.
One of them is the buy-one-get-one-free deal. The offer is applicable from 20 December to 27 December (7PM — 11PM). Meanwhile, if you go to their Facebook page and use their ‘Facebook Profile Frame,’ you can avail a 15 percent discount. And if you give a check-in, your soft drink is on the house! The latter two offers (valid till 2019) are only for the Gulshan restaurant, but the BOGO deal applies to both the outlets, the other being in Uttara.
